Sensor Visualization Screen
The main screen in the app allows you to visualize in real-time what the device is capturing from your tongue movements. This is a really useful screen to practice your movements/gestures and to get a sense of which settings need to be changed to improve your experience.
- The top third of the screen will show you what gestures/actions you are activating at the moment.
- To the right you will find icons to go to settings, activate sound, and hide the visualizations
- The middle section has a visualization that helps you understand what the tongue trackpad is detecting right now. The light blue dot shows where the MP thinks your tongue is relative to the resting center. The little box in the middle is the dead-zone which is a zone where your tongue can rest without activating any cursor movement.
- The bottom visualization shows the force you are placing on the MouthPad. If you apply pressure and the blue line goes over the green line, you will perform a left-click.
- If you perform a suction the blue line will go down, and if it crosses the orange line, it will perform a right click.
Settings Screen
In this screen you will find all the settings to configure your MouthPad. These can be quite technical, so don’t be afraid to contact us if you need help.
Common Settings Changes
My tongue is resting, but it is moving the cursor
There are two main configurations that you can try out to fix this.
- Try increasing the “Touch Threshold”. This will make it so that the pad isn’t activated with light touches.
- Try changing the “Touchpad Center Size” to a bigger size. This will make it so your tongue have to travel farther outside the resting position to trigger a movement.
Left click is too sensitive, or too hard to click
- If you are clicking unintentionally while moving the cursor, try increasing the “Left Click Deviations”
