Thank you for considering taking scans for our clients. The MouthPad^ is an intraoral device that enables hands-free control of phones, tablets, and computers ****through tongue and head gestures. Here’s a quick demo, and here are stories from our amazing users.
To design the MouthPad^, we require an intraoral 3D scan (including the palate), and a copy of the .STL file.
Our company, Augmental, designs and assembles the MouthPad^ from our lab in San Francisco, California. We ship directly to users, who fit the device at home. For more information, please visit our website or explore the MouthPad^ Knowledge Center. Thank you!

We require an intraoral 3D scan — e.g., iTero, Trios, etc., not a CBCT — of the upper jaw, including the palate and gums above the molars. Here is a ****sample MouthPad^ scan, for reference:
You may need to turn off an “auto-cleanup” feature on your scanner that prevents imaging of the palate. To do this, try the following steps:
We need separate files per arch, oriented in occlusion. (No bite or lower needed.)
Please export the .STL file so it can be uploaded to this form or emailed to your patient. (As a small assistive tech startup, our lab is not yet registered within the large scanning companies’ network. We appreciate the extra step!) Find documentation on this brief process for common scanners below:

Please send us the scan’s .STL file using the form above. This step can also be done by your patient, if you prefer to email the .STL file to them.
