Daily Cleaning

We recommend cleaning your MouthPad^ daily before and after every use. Immediately after removal, use warm water (not to exceed 45°C/113°F) and soap to remove remaining saliva and debris from the device.

Approved Cleaning Agents

For periodic removal of debris and maintenance, you can use any mild over-the-counter cleaning agents designed for oral devices. If needed, use a soft bristle brush to clean the inside of your appliance for debris removal. Some of the validated* cleaning agents include Dawn dish soap, Polident, Efferdent, 3% peroxide solution, 15% bleach solution, and mouthwash.

Caution!

• DO NOT SOAK your appliance in any liquid for more than 1 hour.
• DO NOT SOAK the appliance in water hotter than 77°C/170°F due to the risk of warping the device. Avoid boiling water, and instead use a microwave for ~1min45sec to heat up water for dunking your MouthPad^.
• DO NOT use abrasive cleaning agents (i.e. certain toothpaste) as it can shorten the life of your device.
• DO NOT use ultrasonic retainer cleaners, which can destroy the MouthPad^s sensors.
• DO NOT use UV cleaners, as the MouthPad^s dental resin is originally cured with UV.
• Dispose of the cleaning solution after every use. Rinse the appliance well prior to use.

We recommend against eating or drinking anything other than water while wearing your MouthPad^. Drinking hot liquid may affect the fit of the appliance. Please remove the device prior to eating for optimal performance, fit, and longevity. Please remember to handle your MouthPad^ with care. Ensure you dry your appliance prior to storing it in the provided charging case to prevent bacterial or fungal growth.

Oral hygiene

Maintaining good oral hygiene is of upmost importance while using the MouthPad^! Please be sure to brush your teeth often and get regular dental checkups and cleanings.

Dental treatments

The MouthPad^ fits your mouth like a glove, so any major treatments that change the structure of your teeth — such as a dental crown or braces — will call for a rescan and new device.
