-
Prepare a ceramic mug/bowl that is large enough to dunk the MouthPad^ fully.
-
Fill the mug with water (tap water is OK) & put it in the microwave for 1 minute 45 seconds.
-
Dunk the MouthPad^ in the hot water for ~5 seconds
- Tip: Avoid touching the hot water directly! Dunk the MouthPad^ by holding the side capsule just above the water’s surface so that the rest of the device is submerged, but your fingers (and the side capsule) stay dry
-
Remove the MouthPad^ from the water and immediately place it into the user’s mouth
- The user should firmly press then hold the MouthPad^ on the roof of their mouth (~15 seconds), pushing upward with their tongue and teeth, while also biting onto the device and gently sucking while it is warm to ensure as snug a fit as possible.
- The MouthPad^ should remain firmly in place on the user’s teeth, without falling off or causing pain/discomfort
- There should be no gaps in between the MouthPad^ and the roof of the user’s mouth. Have the user pass their tongue along the perimeter of the MouthPad^ to verify if there are any noticeable gaps.
-
If the MouthPad^ doesn’t fit right after dunking, try again, but dunking for a couple seconds longer. Repeat this process until satisfied.
