MouthPad^ not discoverable

If the MouthPad^ is advertising (light is blinking BLUE), but it is not appearing in the Bluetooth search settings of your device, try bringing the MouthPad^ closer to the device (or device closer to the MouthPad^).

If the light is not blinking blue, try shaking the device. This would wake it up from sleep mode. If it then starts blinking BLUE, you can proceed as normal. If it still does not blink blue, the battery may be dead - try charging it.

Click not working

Sometimes the click detection loses its baseline. Remove your tongue from the touchpad and it should readjust within 15 seconds.

If you have a Mac, another possibility is to download the MouthPad App to visually see when clicks are happening, and get better insight into what might be going wrong. This is available through Apple TestFlight. Contact Corbin to get added if you do not already have it.

Cursor control not working as expected

There are two main sources for this problem:

  1. Tongue touch technique: try controlling the cursor with an open mouth. This helps to force a more accurate touch with the tip of the tongue and train the body to use the MouthPad^.
  2. Touchpad lost calibration: try to recalibrate the touchpad.

Lagging/jumping cursor movement

Sometimes this happens if you are at the outer limits of the MouthPad^’s range. Try moving yourself closer to the device you are controlling.

This can also happen if the MouthPad^’s battery is low, try charging it if this might be the case.

MouthPad^ keeps disconnecting by itself

As with lagging/jumping cursor movement this is usually because of MouthPad^ range or low battery.

Cursor moves when trying to click

There are two main sources for this problem once a MouthPad^ has been calibrated:

  1. Cursor speed: Try reducing cursor speed on your MouthPad or on the device you are controlling (computer, phone) settings.
  2. Clicking technique: Try clicking with a flat tongue.
