Use a personal dentist:

We’re happy to work with your preferred scanning office. Please explain to your provider that you’ve ordered a retainer-like device for tongue-based computer control. Ask if they have an intraoral 3D scanner, such as the iTero, Trios, etc. — not a CBCT. If yes, please send our scanning guide (above) and then proceed with next steps here.

• If your dentist does not have the right scanner, please ask them to kindly refer you to an orthodontist that might. Or, see our tips below.

Our dental partners advise a general oral exam before your MouthPad^ scan, in case treatment is needed first. Please also plan to get regular dental checkups while using the device. (See our MouthPad^ screening guidelines for more info.)

1. Explore our network of accessible scanning partners using the database below. (If we have a partner near your address, you should have received their information after placing an order — but bugs happen!)

1. Call dentists in your area! Explain you’ve ordered an in-mouth device for tongue-based computer control and you need an intraoral 3D scan (such as “iTero”). A few tips:
   • Already have a dentist, but they cannot assist? Try calling orthodontic centers that offer Invisalign — they are likely to have the scanner we need.
   • Let the office know if you are interested in becoming a regular patient. Many users are able to schedule a new-patient exam, cleaning, and intraoral scan on the same day.
   • The first couple offices you contact may decline due to unfamiliarity with our technology (hopefully not!). Third one’s the charm, in many cases.

Get help finding a center:

If you have not been able to find a scanning location, let us know at [email protected], and we will seek out a new scanning partnership in your area. (A list of centers that have declined would help our search.) This option may take some time — we appreciate your patience!
