Hello! We are excited to make your custom MouthPad^. The next step will be getting your intraoral 3D scan — a common dental process, typically done for night guards and retainers. We’ll need a unique scan for your MouthPad^, though, including the palate.
Many users are able to visit their personal dentist or orthodontist for the scan. Here is a sample image of the scanning process, which usually takes around 5-20 minutes.
Unfortunately, we cannot coordinate scan payment, insurance, or appointments. An intraoral scan costs approximately $100-$150 out of pocket, but it can sometimes be covered by insurance. Please note that we strongly recommend a checkup exam with your dentist prior to the scan.
